Fiesta Pops appeared on the scene and put smiles on dozens of vegan and non vegans faces alike. Most notably a super cute townie bike style cart parked in front of Lululemon in Westboro (Richmond Road and Churchill Ave) and pop ups such as Happiness Habits 613 events. These all vegan, healthy, fruit based ice pops are fun, colourful and delicious. Everyone must try the strawberry avocado. Contact via Facebook or Instagram or look for pop ups in the community.
ZenGarry Fauxmagerie
Zengarry is the most popular and most delicious faux cheese I know. There are other great companies making fax cheeses but this one tops them by being local, running classes on how to make your own nut cheeses and by being present at so many pop up events and festivals. Any die hard cheese lover will equally love the choices of classic like brie, gruyere and herb infused blends and will flip when they try on crackers with jam, baked with nuts and herbs or in a pasta dish in place of dairy. They are sophisticated enough to pair with wine and playful enough to give to kids (who are okay with nuts) with apples and mac and cheese dinners. Go try!
