Ottawa rejoiced when Flavours of the Caribbean re-opened after nearly six years closed! (Formerly Caribbean Flavours). An Ottawa vegan favourite of many as the owner Frederick always had vegan’s backs and served us well with many regular meetups. The main excitement is the roti, beautiful to behold (nice presentation when upgraded to a platter!) and amazing to eat. Choose tempeh, tofu, channa, vegetable, sweet potato and potato. house made ginger beer and sorrel complete the experience. There is a new vegan rum cake as well. Family owned and operated. The owner, Frederick will come out and meet you and share laughs and good times. Definitely a laid back vibe and island tunes playing. Plan to stay and have nowhere to go in a hurry- you’ll want to stay awhile!
